Wedding bands are made out of priceless precious metals. Many buyers make a common mistake of selecting the costly wedding band without considering the pros and cons. The truth is that not all the metals are convenient for daily use. Here are the pros and cons of some metals. So, consider this before buying your perfect wedding band.
White Gold White gold has a white/yellow tint. The natural colour of gold is yellow, which is blended with other metal to give it a white-ish look.Gold metal is also not hypo allergic so be careful while opting for it. It wears off the colour easily due to water and is polished again and again. The white gold is soft and so, can be dented and scratched easily. Also, with respect to time, the ring will get thinner. Platinum This metal is the natural white colour; no rhodium needed. The cost of platinum is comparable to gold. It is a pure metal, unlike gold metal. In high-quality rings, there is up to 95 per cent of platinum. It is also rare and heavy metal. Platinum is good for the people who are allergic as it is hypo allergic in nature. It is also malleable in nature to intricate filigree designs. Due to the softness, it can look old and dented soon. Palladium Palladium is platinum group metal which is also naturally white. It is also hypo allergic in nature, affordable and less expensive than platinum. It is also 30 times more rare than gold. They are lighter in weight unlike platinum bands and hence are more comfortable. Also, it is harder than platinum and won’t have scratch easily. Titanium Titanium is the light grayish colour metal, which can be polished to accomplish the highly reflective look. Titanium is light in weight but incredibly strong and can take a ton of abuse. Titanium never wears out but can have a scratch or two from regular wear which can be refinished at an affordable price. Also, it is inert so you don’t have to worry about the allergic reactions. The only drawback of titanium ring is it cannot be sized. So don’t gain or lose weight ever, or opt for the resizing policy ring. There are other options too for you to consider like black titanium, tungsten, silver, etc. At the end, there is no perfect metal; it all comes down to preference and budget. Choose the wedding band which reflects your personality and is comfortable at the same time. It will represent the love and respect you hold for your better-half, chose wisely so you can cherish it for the lifetime.
